The first squad of the future Order of the Ebon Chalice army, created in Warhammer Atrium's signature Grimdark Cinematic style.

The project is inspired by official Games Workshop art, the atmosphere of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and my own perception of what the Sisters of Battle might have looked like during the darkest hours of battle.

The ruins of abandoned cities.
The dust of destroyed streets.
The fumes and smoke from the constant fire of heavy weapons.

Perhaps this is one of the countless fronts of Armageddon.

The Order of the Ebon Chalice Retributors, under the command of Palatina, lay down devastating suppressive fire at point-blank range, holding back the continuous waves of Orks advancing through the smoke and rubble of destroyed hives.

Dust and grime coat the Sisters' armor and robes.

But their faces and hair still bear traces of the purity and holy radiance of the Emperor's Daughters.

For amid the darkness of the distant future, faith remains their shield, and fire their weapon.
